All electricity off in Cork City centre
Any information on what has happened?
When will it be turned back on?

The Black and Tans couldn't even turn off ALL the light in the city centre in 1920 ffs
    :)

    Thanks ESB - Not!!!
First they are responsible for flooding us out 2 years back
Then they cut out the power for over 2 hours of prime business hours in the city centre.

I'm sure that they'll offer us a reduction in next months bill.

Well at least they didn't lock us up in jail for no reason, so we should be grateful I suppose :D

What happened? I'm in city centre - South Mall area - and, bar an outage of about two seconds during lunch, we've had power all afternoon.

When I got back from lunch yesterday the office PC's were all powered off and the adapter to our hub had blown.

Still can't see/print to the network printer. Dunno what happened.

About 10 days ago or so, there was a large truck which looked like a mobile generator van being hooked up by ESB just opposite the school of music on the other quay i.e. behind South Mall.

Wonder if that had anything to do with it ?

i.e. maybe a fault / on-going issue being worked on?

I thought that the Black and Tans lit up the city centre?

True, but not by using the electricity grid I think :)
