10pm Friday Night. I posted this in the Rugby forum but I thought it would be applicable here too.

Universal Sports Channel is useless and I'm not quite willing to shell out the $35(!!) that the cable company is charging for pay-per-view, so I was researching pubs in north Seattle that will be showing it.

Its a long shot anyone might find this useful but here goes:

    http://kangarooandkiwipub.com/

    http://www.georgeanddragonpub.com/index.php

    http://themarketarms.com/telly.htm

These two are general sports bars with a lot of tv's...

    http://www.spitfireseattle.com/location.html

    http://www.sportrestaurant.com

If you do universal sport online I think it is allot cheaper and I usually hook it up via hdmi to my TV.

    A little cheaper...by about $5

So I'll stick to watching it in a pub I think. At least out here on the west coast its on at a reasonable time. 10pm on a friday night isnt the worst time to be in a pub at least...

    :pac:

"UniversalSports.com offers LIVE and on-demand coverage of the first quarterfinal of the 2011 Rugby World Cup between Ireland and Wales on Oct. 8 at 1 a.m. ET in Wellington. Price: $29.99 (available only in the U.S. & territories)"

The rugby forum usually post free streams for games, although it'd be a lot more craic watching it on the big screen in a pub as opposed to watching it on your laptop at home.

Its on at 1am Boston time, so i doubt they're will be any pub showing it since closing time is 2am...there will prob be a house party somewhere showing it, i figure.

    ???

This I didnt know... Boston has a pub closing time of 2am??? Clubs surely can stay open later?

The England vs France match isnt on until after the Ireland match.

    Thats what we're thinking.

Its funny that its the english and australian pubs that show the euro sports while the irish pubs are more touristy.

    In Seattle at least.

Boston sucks for nights out. 2am closing everywhere, no happy hours, i blame the Irish influence!

I'm shocked. It must be absolute mayhem at 2am when everyone gets booted out on the street.

Yeah, just like home. There are no issues in Cambridge where i live cos its all students but downtown in Faneuil Hall its a rougher crowd so it can be a bit more dodgy and impossible to get a cab.

Same here last orders at 2am and out by 2.30am. 1am is a bit late for it but at least it's not as bad as last week, wouldn't mind but I've an early start Saturday morning.

I'll probably use a proxy and watch it on either ITV or RTE.
