    I can't see these referendums getting through at all tbh. If they do it'll be because the government have tapped into the whole "cut their wages, there's a recession on" feeling rather than actually wanting to protect the objectivity of the judiciary.

    This is really a stupid argument about judges pay.... The argument is that there should be a separation of bodies so that the judiciary can not be influenced by the Government... I dont remember the judges complaining about this when they got pay INCREASES ??!!
