Don't think this lad expected the 'postman' to come on air.
Now he will have to go head to head with him as promised..

Surely people just aren't buying because sales of all items are down (due to recession)?

    who's the donegal postman

He's an idiot that predicts the weather. He got it right once back in 1993 or something and wrong every time since. But on the back of the right prediction in 93 he gets media coverage.

He said "no snow", so better get chains for your tyres, stock up with salt and get a snow shovel for the winter.

Yay no snow! I'll take that!!!!! Just need MT Cranium to back him up!

Very hard to argue with the postman.

Because you can't understand a word he is saying.

Ah fek off Pat, most people who buy plants from garden centres haven't the first clue if they are frost hardy or not, they like the piccy on the label and buy it. If they knew any better then there would be no such programmes as Gardeners Question or the likes of Dermot O'Neill.

Shur can understand this Donegal postman anyway??!!

"And what else do you predict, Michael?"

"A well deserved slagging on the boards.ie Liveline thread Joe".

I buy all my garden stuff in Aldi now cause its way cheaper than any of the garden centres near me. Just aswell no one planted anything in dublin or it'll be flooded!

if that guy thinks people didnt buy flowers in his shop because of the postman, he should'nt be running the shop

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,978 ✭✭✭wyrn

Bertie blaming the media and now the garden centre man blaming a postman.

We have truly lost our minds. At this rate, Dana could be in with a chance!

Cause we are addicted! and we are Irish and have to punish ourselves for thinking dirty thoughts!

The Donegal postman has a 100% record of predicting the weather after it happened.

Going Postal: 'THERES NO SIGN OF SNOW'

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,110 ✭✭✭Elmer Blooker

This is a case of mistaken identity. It wasn't the Donegal postman who said it would snow in October, it was a character called Michael Madden from a company called "Exacta Weather" Of course the tabloids pounced on it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,598 ✭✭✭joe316

    Puntastic!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,425 ✭✭✭telekon

Why has noone mentioned the fact that Michael can't actually predict the weather.
