    I f*cking hate this woe is me attitude to education in ireland

    We havent a college in the top 100 worldwide, the IMF is telling us we need to cut EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING

    I'm planning to do an MBA in 5/6 years at LBS, it will cost about 100k. I am not looking for the government to pay for it, im paying for it myself through WORKING hard and getting the promotions that will pay for it.

    The problem is the government do not give enough time as a lead in to these cuts.at least if they phased it in over a year at least propl could adjust to the new rules.

    I actually agree with the auld one about the single mother. She had a second child when she was in second year, there's no one to blame but herself for that.

    You don't just develop pregnancy like cancer or whatever. Close your legs or get him to put something on the end of it, that is unless you had the child deliberately to get a few extra quid. Also, she said her new partner was living with her now so they are like any other couple with kids except she gets loan parents and a further education grant which most other people do.

    I find it hard to believe her assertion that she doesn't get some form of rent allowance either given here circumstances. She's typifies the welfare culture we've allowed to become the norm in this country.

    Marion was wrong. Michelle's children were three and five when she started college.

    And she seems to think that when she gets her degree that the children magically disappear... How is she gonna work with the two kids.. She's gonna be on giving out about childcare costs not being covered by the State then..
