It's going to be one of those shows isn't it...

"I have told him I want to come on 'Liveline' to debate what he has said about me but I have got no reply," he said.

Asked by the Irish Independent about his brother's claims, Joe Duffy would not comment.

That would be a interesting show but it does not fit Joe's agenda so let carry on about train sets instead.

    "Canaries for Conor"

A bit like Art for Aleksandra except instead of art, I want you to send in your canaries. God bless.

Pretty pathetic.... especially given that he didn't even mention it to his brother that he'd be featuring in the book. Still though, Joe's ego comes before all decency.

Anyone know what she's moaning about? It's just so boring I can't focus.

Think the show is going to be devoted to this for the day.
    Time to tune into Moncrieff

This is a fairly bleak Liveline.

4 days of misery and a "laugh" at the end of the week for this festive fiver bollocks.

Conor Evans played Father Romeo Sensini in Father Ted. He was the Italian priest who scored the penalty in the over-75s indoor football match.

I think this is so sad

What an awful illness - really the family suffers more than the patient

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,053 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

Isn't there normally a point of a liveline topic? To give out about something/etc?

Because this whole alzheimers thing, while touching, doesn't seem to have a point... (apart from depressing people)..

Oh and that Denis Leamy ad didn't help, monotone all the way through...

elderly people rarely escape without some condition or illness , why is one case of this very common affliction radio worthy ?

    I didn't realise geriatric illnesses had a radio-worthiness pecking order . . :)

    "He's the walking dead"

    Bit cruel no?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,677 ✭✭✭Zwillinge

I understand people need to be aware of different illnesses and what is possibly ahead of us all... But, it's a bit heavy on a Monday.

This poor woman sounds absolutely drained and well... if this topic stays it'll be going onto the depression of carers.

I would reckon the only other issue up for discussion today will be Gary Speed's suicide... He'll be doing anything to avoid callers discussing the story about himself in the papers..
