elderly people rarely escape without some condition or illness , why is one case of this very common affliction radio worthy ?
Not easy to listen that's for sure, its relatives and carers telling their side of the story, with this illness the victims cannot speak out about their condition

it isnt interesting or extraordinary in anyway shape or form , old people get sick , they might aswell devote a show to the ( tragedy ) of people dieing in thier eighties of natural causes

I would reckon the only other issue up for discussion today will be Gary Speed's suicide... He'll be doing anything to avoid callers discussing the story about himself in the papers..

Joe is a master at that, his brothers story is a simple stone to avoide compared to Gerry Ryan death coke story and he managed to avoid that hot potato.

Not sure if this illness just affects old people, the woman's husband was just in his late fifties when this illness began.

No-one who gets put on air would criticise him.

Hey! We all got thanked, and I don't give a toss about this story... :D
Obviously it sucks what happened to your one, but the amount of coverage this has been given on liveline is way over the top

He'll focus on any other topic for the hour, til the other story blows over.. It's Joe's equivalent of taking the ball in to the corner flag to play down the clock...

I'm sure Duffy's brother is a bit of a b*ll*x, but it certainly wont help him to get a job by Joe publishing this book describing in detail all of the bad things he's done in the past..

Sounds like he gave more sympathy to Malcolm McArthur last week than he did to his own brother too.

Today's show reeks of Joe trying to deflect from that story, lots of pats on the the back for him:rolleyes:
