I thought you could transfer to any other Health policy from an existing poicy and all existing conditions would be treated as before?

Does the six month waiting time not refer to new (non transferred) policies?

Exactly what the country needs, a run on the banks. Everyone with a few bob and no ability to think for themselves will try to open up an account with a Danish bank.

Very irresponsible broadcast, IMO. The listenership of liveline IN GENERAL seem to me to be quite gullible. Probably shouldn't be putting ideas in their heads that will actually create a problem...

My mum works in a bank, and she says she can always tell when there has been an item on the radio like this, because of all the middle-aged people who come in a) to withdraw all their money b) shout abuse at the staff (sometimes these are people who don't even have an account in the bank they are abusing)

Change of tone from 'Ban all the Cash for Gold Shops' there.

Joe has shares in a burglary racket, I reckon...

I thought gold had peaked and was decidedly teetering on the edge.

Companies have stopped mining awkward mines, not worth the returns.

  • Registered Users Posts: 265 ✭✭Bertiebasher

jeeze, can't believe this is continuing on..seriously.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,677 ✭✭✭Zwillinge

I thought we weren't supposed to be cash for gold or encouraging gold trade or anything :(:(

Did he just say Eddie, on the phone, was nodding??:confused:

    "Eddie, you nodded there"!

He can see down phone lines!

I agree, the price is hugely inflated from being perceived as a Safe Haven

The price will fall dramatically at some point.

I wish for once this show would be balanced. Bring on someone to talk about the detrimental effects of everyone taking their money off desposit with Irish banks.....
or detrimental effects of taxing the rich out of existence (and out of the country) in the budget next week.

This 'money doctor' is just another guy (not even sure what his background is) with his own opinion. Why are all these callers treating him like a God.

Now he is telling this caller to transfer money into his UK bank account. Does the broadcasting authority not have some power to cut off this thread of conversation before it casues more damage?

This is what Jill kerby(the caller) said a few minutes ago

#Liveline What the hell does Joe Duffy mean by, "You're NOT going to buy any gold, are you Nancy?" It means he is CLUELESS.

Oh here's Jill Kerby, more Euro-scaremongering from the Murdoch press.

Put your money into Canadian bucks/metals i'd say she'll "advise".
