Is there a similar show as liveline in Australia Sudz?

I only heard it once or twice. I'm not sure what radio station it was on but it was similar to Liveline in that people phoned in to debate whatever was slightly controversial in the news that day. (One day it was the proposed abolition of saying the Our father in schools) But that's where the similarities ended! Very different in the way the presenter fielded questions to the callers and got the best out of them and gave equal time to both sides of the argument. It was a well balanced show with an intelligent presenter!

Can't pick it up now as I'm out in the sticks.

You know the TV license ad about the Feng Shui. IS the guy 'meant' to sound a bit like Dylan Moran in Black Books guise? I know its not, but it sounds like his hushed speaking mannerism.

The street traders are up in arms because they have to pay tax.

    I see it now:

"Wheres my NAMA Joe? I got no NAMA! Why dont they go after the rich people for the Tax"

    another sacred cow scam

I wonder what Arnotts rate bill is?

and now at the busiest time of year you cant get into Arnotts for all the 3rd World 'Traders' mosh clogging the Street outside

would love to see the Revenue returns from the 'Traders'

(I note that the 'traders' are also objecting to the fact that the 'named trader' is supposed to be at their designated stall, how unfair, how can they collect 'de welfare' and sublet the stall if they are tied down?)

well, if they don't earn enough then they aren't in the tax net, so no problem...

Surely its only those on the dodge that should be up in arms...

And why shouldn't the Revenue commissioners be after these guys. They aren't above the law.

He's actually WRONG as well as the limit for the Universal Social Charge is 10k (was 4k) so they would have to pay that..

They should certainly being paying tax, but is this really the best thing the revenue and Guards can do with their time..

There are about 450,000 people in the country right now who would love the opportunity get off the dole and pay their taxes following a days work.

    These women make me sick.
