This show you be renamed "where's me benefits? with Joe Duffy"
If more people paid their tax maybe the sate could afford to cut less,eh Joe? Or if higher earners got paid a little less maybe things like the tv licence could be reduced.

€301 down. WTF?? Did I hear that right?? No wonder this country is bolloxed...

If Joe's friends on Henry Street paid their taxes, this Woman wouldn't have so many cuts.

Let's be honest about it, woman... You dont want the bloke around, and have to deal with him, and share access.. so you'd rather had the State paying for everything..

EBS...here we go. Give me my 13th month of pay!

If she's €300 down, what is she on in the first place? At least he asked where is the father but quickly moved on as if it wasn't really an option to go after him.
These absent fathers should be gone after to support these children.

"Tell Tiny Tim there will be no Christmas this year because I cant afford it thanks to the budget...."

How much will Lone Parents be now? Add in child benefit, and a CE wage. I'm sorry but I am having trouble raising sympathy for her.

EBs, I'm still baffled whether this was a bonus or money they actually earned even after a long thread on AH

I have less sympathy for this woman and her extra month's pay than I have had for any caller ever.

Thats what I'm wondering?!? What, €500-600?? Crazy, crazy stuff...

I had to go outside and calm down for five minutes.

Then I come back to hear some 9-5 girl crying because she's only getting paid for 12 months of the year.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,897 ✭✭✭yosser hughes

She's genuinely upset. There is a thread on boards on this already. It's not clear what this payment is. There seems to be some dispute about what this is.

I have a certain amount of sympathy for staff like her.

They do an honest days work for the most part.
