    This guy is ridiculous.

    He's complaining about plastic cutlery in a psychiatric hospital. Does he think that suicidal people should be given knives?

    sure why not, joe taught yesterday they'd be allowed to make tea, if its ok to use hot boiling water, they should be allowed knives and forks

    My understanding is, if you can function within a community, then you can get by 'outside' of the hospital. I don't think people in a mental hospital are there for the laugh.

    I agree. I thought it was very unhelpful and illadvised of that guy to say "the last place he would go would be to a psychiatric hospital". There are people that need that facility.

    This guy's attitude is a bit off. Surely if the professionals decide that he should not be using a mobile or a computer, it's counter productive to be borrowing other patient's computers.

    And he is trying to make out his problem as not serious, but I would presume that people are not committed for nothing.

    When they mentioned the noisiness of a locked ward yesterday "with the volume going up and down", its surprising no-one mentioned the irritation of mobile phone ring tones going off every five minutes. That would turn me murderess much faster than TV volume would.
