My burth father joe got smashed out of his mind xmas day and tried to get my aunt into bed.

what about the women in the locked wards before christmas joe, after a full week of showing your 'ahem' concern  for them, surely the 1st thing you shoud have done today was tell us all how the got on.

Very true, although the Show has to move with the News Agenda ... Romanian Orphans from 1990 ... The Big Freeze of 1947, these are the topics people are talking about in 2012

Maybe it's not a "good news story" :(

If they are still locked in then no, it wouldn't be.

Is anyone else waiting for him to say his birth father asked him for money?

well i have to disagree because if it was a doom and gloom story, joe would be banging on about it. so it has to be a good news story

What's this 'Leedle' about? It used to be pronounced 'Liddle' in Ireland.

    Edit: I concur with Zwillinge.

What is this? An exercise in the national pastime of slapping ourselves on the back? Or is it a gentle reminder from Joe to the 'begrudgers and whingers' out there what a great little country Ireland is?

If you are german you pronounce Lidl like leedle. If you are Irish it is perfectly reasonable to pronounce it Liddle, unless of course the 'i' had a fada then it would be leedle.

    Usual Liveline rubbish.

First caller tells his story. 18 people ring in with near identical stories. All get put on air.

Same as the Mammys of Irish Emigrants a while back, all got on air but no actual Irish people put on air from Australia, Canada, Czech Republic or wherever.
