Brown-nose Award for January already gone.

"it's what Loive-lahnn is all about"

Even Maid Marion got a mention. And now, some snow recalled.

Gerry Ryan was a great lad for the snow

can North Koreans organise a call in to Joe and cry for the loss of Kim Jong-il?

I would love to hear brother Joe empathise with them on their great loss.

Somebody has a book out about this at the moment. Heard discussions on this on several programmes at least 2 weeks before Christmas.
De Valera's government behaved disgracefully at the time. No surprise there.

But the buke was out at the start of December and the author was on practically every other radio show over the course of a week. It's now a month later.

Off topic but was listening to an excellent 30 min show on Radio 4 earlier about the List of Irish army deserters that fought for the british army in WWII and how they were treated by Dev's government on return, kids taken off them, denied work or state services...
I can't say I've ever heard too much about it here.

The men involved and their families are still waiting for a pardon of sorts but Shatter thinks it requires "debate". Disgusted listening to it.

"We were very sheltered in the country in those days"

    Sheltered from the wind?

In my experience, people in the country tend to be more up on the birds and the bees than ye city folk.

That's right. It was discussed as well on Radio 1 yesterday. Some of the reactions from people were shocking. As far as I am concerned, these men were heroes and did what was right.
