Agree its hard to know what she expects to gain out of this but if it makes one person think about just jumping into the water then its worth mentioning. It seems the Portuguese don't want to draw much attention to it.

What a dreadful experience she had. I hope the baby will bring some solace in times to come.

Portugal seems to be a total backwater when it comes to dealing with the authorites in a way that is satisfactory. The shambles that was the Madeline McCann investigation also comes to mind.
