I'm trying to remember, when was the last time that Liveline dealt with a non-Dublin local issue?

So where have you been? did you not know there is only a recession in Dublin and that all the taxes and levies are only being paid by people living in Dublin:rolleyes:

I blame the Anti bin charges campaigners, Claire Daly and Joe Higgins and all that lot.

Because of them, Dublin City Council have privatised the Bins, and there are no more waivers. It's all their fault

oh lol! What was Joe about to say about rental properties and then stopped himself, probably realising he was about to sound completely biased against those who are "only renting"

Wonder if he has a few rental properties himself.....??

Ah, come on. Joe is a normal salt of the earth Dub who lives in a modest terrace house in Ballyfermot and heads into Moore street every day to buy his veg off Bridie. He couldn't afford to buy properties to rent out.

The bin co know that snobs are deadbeats when it comes to charges for essential services

They are very astute in requiring people to pay deposits...

Liveline research team boardroom: What are the major worldly issues that need to be discussed today?
*lucky dip into Joe's top hat*
Aha! what days should different coloured bins be collected?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,730 ✭✭✭europa11

"The brown bin is being collected on Monday, the black bin is being collected with the green bin the following week, the blue bin is two euro and the green bin is being put out on the wing Joe, it's three euro to put out the black bin on Black Thursday unless it falls on Good Friday, but they won't collect the blue bin unless you keep the dog in.........."

No Joe, not a bit confusing !!

It says that when this programme was at its height, there were fewer than 150,000 people over the age of 65, but that has now more than reached over 500,000.
But it says that the younger viewership has now lost its purchasing power due to negative equity, maxed out credit cards and the rise in unemployment.

Hang on, that last part implies that Pensioners are rolling in cash.

So what was all that about them eating Dog Food because the Revenue would be chasing them for taxes on their multiple Pensions?

Could take the knees off someone.
