Unlike his other "promos" on the RC SHow of late, when Joe promised to speak about various topics and then resorted to form (pensioners, binmen, etc.), there's little doubt that "good friend of the show" (as they say in Montrose) and comic genius Brush Shiels will be given ample airtime to promote himself yet again air his grieveances.

And do remind us Brush of the good old days and drop Phillos' name a couple of times while your at it. We hear so little of you nowadays we sometimes forget .

Wonder have any of Joe's researchers been assigned the task of trying to get Bon Jovi on the show? :) Be great to hear Bon Jovi shout the "you called me" bingo number!!

All in the interests of fairness and balance of course......and it would make a nice change!

    For people on phones etc.
As one of the many listeners who listen to Liveline almost on a daily basis, I hate when people start slagging Joe off. These are individuals who obviously don't bother to listen to the show. Liveline has on a daily basis, 400,000 listens and that figure is growing. Joe Duffy is an absolute legend and without him and Liveline, this country would be a much more depressed and sad place to live. So, leave Joe and Liveline alone! If you don't like the show, then don't listen to it. It's THAT simple!

Lets show him the million page of comments thread we had on here discussing Liveline.

Can someone explain the love of the Duffster? I don't get it.

So what does Dublin CIty Council do now, apart from collecting rates?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,014 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

When you get old do you get stupid?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

If I was elderly I'd be on the phone to Joe complaining about the assumption by him and his callers that everyone suddenly becomes a thick simpleton on their 65th birthday.

The Waste Collection service has been privatised in most parts of the country. No doubt there were similar problems everywhere.
It never got a mention on Liveline before now. But it happens in Joe Duffy's manor, and we get a week of it.

And apparently act like a 3 year old if things don't work out.. "Sure they get very upset over simple things"

    Get ta fuk...

It's part of the sneaky pensioner's bid to make us think all oldies are nice old ladies, when in fact an old asshole is still an asshole.
