so joe found a conveniant topic to deflect away from the tv charge thing.

A few years ago this programme was mainly a discussion forum for whatever was on the news agenda.

It has now become a Soapbox for Joe Duffy's personal gripes and pet issues. Hugely important news stories never get a mention.

People getting promotions for being in with the management, people fearing for their jobs, talentless hacks getting pushed to the top... it's just like RTE Joe.

there is a name for the phenomenon you refer to. its called a kakistocracy, the oposite of meritocracy. related to the concept of faeces rising to the top. Good people are weeded out and the dross get to run the show. learn the word people, its going on all around us.

Perhaps this is overly cynical and very wide of the mark but are the HSE using any excuse to reduce costs. Given the moratorium are they taking any opportunity that comes their way

MN seems to be a lot more fast acting than something like say Parkinson's.. The actress from Fair City (Joan Brosnan Walsh) was dead within 18 months of her diagnosis..

Obviously going to ignore talking about the Noonan gaffe, and yet more on the bins *****

Joe is just as out of touch.

This sort of thing has been happening all over the country for years. It's only now that it's affecting the Dubs that Joe deems it worthy for Liveline.
