I wonder how many of these parents go to mass of a regular basis.

Did you see "Big fat gypsy wedding"? An episode on communions, the parents were all delighted when the annoying church part was out of the way so they could head to the pub.

Duffy must be more out of touch than a hermit.

He has no idea about real life.

The taxi driver is making perfect sense, citing his experience, and JD is talking all over him. Plain ignorance and total lack of objectivity. Why is this tosser (Duffy) on the air?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,981 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

Why would the government talk to the SVP on what they want to do ????

Its not fair Joe, I want money to go out drinking!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,536 ✭✭✭AngryBollix

Joe tried to say it didnt exist a minute ago

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

No Joe, for once someone made a sensible decision without getting bogged down in discussions with vested interests (the VDP etc)

If we had a bit more of that, the Country would be in a far better state.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

If Joe is gonna complain about the politicians expenses, he should public his own fees.. I'm sure every time he needs to spend a penny in the public jacks, he writes to the council for a receipt...

6 million in politicians expenses is nothing compared to 20 billlion in handouts... I'm mean that is almost 60% of the total Government annual income.. It's completely unsustainable..

the poverty industry is a major force in this country , bertie courted it strongly and created an endless list of QUANGO,s which feed off it

Clear and concise from the Taxi driver

We cannot control their behaviour, but we can show compassion.

So here you guy buddy, there's €300. Now I can't tell you not to go drinking it, but if you do, I understand so don't feel bad about it.

Has anyone here seen a publican turn away a customer that wasnt sloshed.

    Especially a communion party

Taytos and Club Orange... you're forgetting the Lyons Tea Joe!!!! :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

A €100 clothing voucher should be more than enough to cover the basics of a communion outfit. I can't understand why Duffy is being so pig-headed about this issue.
