Does magda the dole scrounger exist or not?

I think the Independent took a sensationalised article in a Polish newspaper, deliberately hyped it up and then hid behind the excuse of "it was all in Polish and we didn't get it translated properly". I think if the Indo had genuine cases of "Polish dole scroungers" they'd print them, but they don't.

    What do you think?

To deny that the system is abused is naive.

Has he just realised that Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom?

I don't think we need a doctor who has trained in Nigeria.

  • Registered Users Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

First time I've ever heard it called "the Northern Ireland"

  • Registered Users Posts: 741 ✭✭✭Stripey Cat

To deny that the system is abused is naive.

I would think that to believe hyped up stories in the Indo, even after the Newspaper has apologised for them, is naive.

This guy moved from England because he doesn't like the system there, but he wants us to change our rules to be more like them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,212 ✭✭✭Jaysoose

I dont understand his issue....his mail doctor bride has to follow the rules and cant get some sort of rubberstamp even though they have deemed ireland worthy of them moving here.

wreckin my buzz...rules are rules..god bless, thank you, god bless..

That story may have misquoted or taken out of context.

To suggect it doesnt happen with other people on the basis of a poorly researched irish independent article is naive
