    David McSavage blames Joe jokes for axe

    Cheeky comedian David McSavage has claimed RTE axed his Saturday Night Show routine because it included a series of gags aimed at Joe Duffy. A war of words has broken out between the state broadcaster and the outlandish comic after his stand-up routine was dropped at the last minute from Brendan O'Connor's chat show at the weekend.

    A spokeswoman for the show has insisted that McSavage's act was binned because it "wasn't up to scratch." But McSavage has responded by branding RTE as "boring" and "stuffy'" and insisted the material was "tried and tested" and "genuinely funny." He also suggested that the show's top brass may have reacted badly to some jokes about Liveline host Joe Duffy.

    Are RTE very protective of their contractors..

    I thought the same but the more I hear from the scout Leader, I think his causual approach to Facebook privacy is inappropriate..
