He picked a nice day for a launch...pissing it down and an Occupy Wall St mirror demo on round the corner.

That's a terrible fake Jon...no God Bless at the end? For shame...

Just watching Joe on the Late Late Show.. talking about Susie Long on Liveline..

"Susie Long died at the heart of the ROTTEN Celtic Tiger.. She died at the height of the boom in this country.. she died when we were billions in profit as a nation.. when 40% of every house was going to the State.. "

I would ask the question of Joe..... If he had volunteered to take only a mere 200k from the State, could some of his "disposable income" have been used to save her life... ??

Interesting review in The Irish Independent..

    Just Joe Review
Joe's account of his RTÉ career does not have the grip or power of the preceding chapters. We move from a surprisingly moving memoir into celeb autobiography.

A chapter entitled 'How Liveline Works' may give RTÉ management nightmares. The station has defended the programme before the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland, saying Liveline does not call people and invite them on air except in the interests of balance.

But this chapter, and accounts of the many campaigns pursued by Liveline, shows just how actively managed the content of the programme is.

Watching this on the news tonight, I reckon we'll see the same protestors complaining in a few months time when their homes will have been flooded because of the fact that the building of the wall is scrapped due to their protests.

yeah, but at least they'll have a great view of the flood coming in.

Yeah the same thought came into my head watching that news report. We don't want this flood defence, but you see if we are flooded this winter, we will be the 1st to complain like fcuk.

Funnily enough Joe was not at the protest. Was it too much hard work Joe?, is it easier to campaign on the radio instead as you don't have to get of your arse?.

Jay is opening a new restaurant in Clontarf and he is up in arms about the new mound/wall being built.

He stated on Ian Dempsey Show this morning that it would not be appropriate for him to have the issue discussed on his show last week and then appearing at the protest yesterday.

Fair comment in my opinion as that would be blatantly politicising the Lahvline
