I bet all the houses with 'cracks' are in negative equity

a lot of these whiners are really sick of their homes because the house/apt reminds them on a daily basis of their stupidity in overpaying to get on a mythical 'property ladder'

But what if you get a structural engineer to survey it before you buy and he says it's fine?

What I don't get about this whole story is, if I buy a mars bar and it's rotten, I get a refund, but I make the most expensive purchase of my life and tough ****?

Perhaps it's meaningless but why would you hand over money for a house willy nilly without some form of protection.

Exactly. This is where the little people really find out how little they really are.

That's why they paid for Home Bond, isn't it?

Good question about homebond... this is the sort of thing that needs following up.
You couldn't buy a house without handing them over a % of the value...

Homebond has proven itself to be a worthless piece of sh1t.

There is certainly an element of that.'Buyers remorse' I think it's called. This could be their get out of jail card. However I think there are masses of genuine cases that do have a legitimate complaint. If it was me though,I wouldn't be ringing up nippleclamps.

Homebond share their offices with the CIF.
There was a pyrite issue out in Drynam in Kinsealy that has been dragging on for years. The residents were offered a paultry amount in comparison to the cost of repairs and they were told to take it or leave it.
