Sally: "I have someone called Mumar coming through..."

Mullingar ... sure that would an easy cold read ... "Hello Bridie, I see your family have a travelling background.. You've recently acquired ... other people's stuff"... ffs I could carry out that reading myself..

edit: sorry forgot the most obvious bit.... "And you're a big fan of Joe Dolan" :-)

Raghead radio again today by the sounds of the start. and now another burning topic of the day. No mention of Aviva or rte salaries

"I send this guy money and he sorts out my financial troubles. it sounds barmy"..

I take it this lad didnt listen in for the Home Payments show?

Brown disturbs me...I don't understand how he does much of what he does, even though he says it's not in any way "psychic" in nature.

[edit] I'm talking more about his lying on broken glass or manipulation of people, rtaher than proven stuff like cold reading and such.

It sounds like Joe has an intelligent, eloquent person on the line.

Am I on the wrong station?

Ads are interesting on the show...4 ads, two of them for RTÉ products or station. Business must be booming in the ads dept.

    Nice plug there...

"Grand Canal Theatre has a very good reputation"? According to who? It will put on whatever show sells. I wouldn't be surprised to see Roy Chubby Brown appear there.

Harry Crosbie 'owner' of Harry's Bar where Joe duFFy had his book launch also runs the Grand Canal Theatre

    How will this be spun?

Indeed, what's a "buk show", is it like a book show?

Its an illusion. If you knew how he did it, it probably wouldnt seem as impressive. At least he is honest about it.

Some is illusion, sure... the manipulation thing isn't though.
that one where he stemmed bleeding from wounds after two people standing on his back on top of broken glass wasn't illusion as far as I could see( which is perhaps the point lol)

How can you test it? Control conditions for one...omit the doubt about prompting or secret mics or whatever.
