One of the luas stops just before smithfield stops at a place called Museum..

Im just wondering if anyone has been in there and can recomend it?also wondering is the free admission for everyone all times of the year?

Opening Times
The Museum opening hours are:

Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 2pm- 5pm
Closed Mondays (including Bank Holidays), Christmas Day and Good Friday
Admission

Admission to the National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History is FREE.

I have the pleasure of living very close to Collin's Barracks and visit on a regular basis. Check out the Soldiers & Chief's Exhibition. Great 1916 memorabilia also on display. It's never packed during the week so you have all the exhibits to yourself
