Is it just me or did X-Box Live getter better, or PSN get even worse ?. I only bought AE on disc so I could play the handful of people I know on PSN who are not on live, but jesus, unless both players have rock solid connections and living close together it will just make you play worse :(.

I dont want to have to use the "PSN is more laggy then live" excuse when I play my PSN only friends, but after playing on nothing but X-Box live for a year, you really do get what you pay for. One thing I will say though is having access to the top players on PSN's replays are great, seems those 60mb minimum connections in japan negate most of the lag.

If anybody wants to add me on PSN Ive setup a new handle just for fighting games, its the same as my XBL handle but with a space in the middle (who is this FishyThought on PSN ? :p) so its

    Fishy_Thought

Seriously, F*** Cole as an exclusive, unless the netcode is godlike Ill be getting SFXT on 360.

    ITT:
People complaining about playing online against strangers who don't know how to set NAT etc. and use wireless.

Well my PS3 has a static IP address and is in a DMZ, says NAT 1 in my network settings. As for who I am playing against, you have a point, but surely that exists on XBL as well ? (maybe not the wireless part seeing as only the Slims have built in Wifi). What is it about XBL or the 360 itself that its able to compensate for this crap ?, or do I just put it down to MS having more experience and the fact that its a paid service ?.

I honestly didn't expect it to be this bad after 1 year, I played all of Vanilla and the first 6 months of Super on PSN before I switched to XBL, I remember thinking at the time that the difference couldn't be as bad as people made it out to be and it was just all fan boy talk, but it really is night and day. I did have a handful of decent games, but I dont think I saw 1 single endless lobby with a full green connection, I had to kick most of the players I was matched up with in ranked, and the match making is 10 times worse then the 360. My first game with 0PP and 0BP, who do I get matched up against ?, a 3400+ PP 13000+ BP B+ Seth. I still almost beat him, but what if that was your average joe who just picked up the game ?, what a way to say "Welcome to SSF4:AE, bitch!".

One other thing I did noticed about PSN though is unlike live, nobody picks the twins, its shoto city and I fought more Evil Ryus last night then I have on XBL since the game came out. Jesus Sony, sort your sh*t out.

It's more possible that there are more SF4 players on XBL than PSN (though considering Evo is on PS3, this still feels weird).
So you will only find hardcore character specialists on PSN.

From my personal experience, its the other way round, most people with both consoles get the PS3 port because they prefer the PS3 pad. Then again, pretty much anybody who is serious about the game plays on XBL, and after what I experienced yesterday, Im not suprised.

The Evo staff may deny it, but Im pretty sure Sony's sponsorship has something to do with that, why else would they use the (very very slightly) inferior port for such a huge tournament ?. Having said that, EVO is offline so PSN isnt a factor.

Nah dude, it was Shoto City last night. 80% of the people I played used Ken, Ryu and Evil Ryu (seems hes the new Akuma on PSN).

Oh well, theres always uncharted 3 to look forward to.
