Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Lads,

Registered a .ie domain and hosting from register365.
Trying to set up a one-click wordpress install, when it's installed and I type in the url I get this message:
IMPORTANT : Please delete this page (index.htm) and replace it with your own index page

I've no idea how to fix this and there support is terrible, wont answer the phone and email response takes 24 hours.

Anybody done this before and can shed some light?

    Thanks

theshamu, if you will check your welcome email, you will most probably have FTP details there.
You need any FTP client (it's a software) like FileZilla or WinSCP (google and download, they are free).
Once you login to FTP, locate that file index.html and delete it. You are done :)
Do you have anything to replace it with?

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the reply.

I have experience with filezilla using my hostgator account and no problems at all. But the information and login details supplied to me won't work, so frustrating. I have setup a wordpress site using there one click install but it asks me to delete the index page using FTP but it's not happening!

If the details aren't working, contact your host. We do not allow provider specific discussion on boards.ie for historical reasons.

theshamu, if you were able to access 1-click installs, I suppose you are able to login to your control panel. Look around to see if you have File manager there, it won't need ftp access.
Have you tried to check your hosts knowledgebase? It might have all the answers you are looking for.
