A poster on the Tralee thread yesterday was wondering did others have any home heating oil quotes instead of having to ring around all the suppliers herself. I think that a thread on home heating oil quotations for comparison purposes is a good use of the Kerry forum given the time of year we are now in and the fact that home heating oil is used extensively in Kerry where we have no gas pipeline.

http://www.cheapestoil.ie/heating-oil-prices/Kerry.aspx gives only one daily quote for Suttons Oil (currently €421.25 for 500lt and €829.50 for 1000lt) but it does give contact details and email addresses for a range of other suppliers.

So post up the quotes you were given here and we should be able to get the best prices possible for boardies.

Sutton Oils now quoting €417/€821 for 500/1000 litres as of Oct 8th. Down a bit in a few days. Should fall further over the next couple of weeks as international price falls feed through.

That would be 86.1 cent per litre including vat, for those too lazy to work it out in cold hard cash:D.

An awful lot of trees seem to be disappearing, in North Kerry at least, and an awful lot of houses seem to have big piles of chopped wood next to them.

It looks like oil has finally priced itself out of the market for a lot of people.:(

13.5 % var on heating oil so it works out about 92cpl not 109cpl which would have been v expensive. You got a good price. Average in Kerry at the moment is 96/97 cpl.

The only down side to sites like boiler juice and the united we save initiative is that its all worked with cash on delivery. When dealing direct with your local company you have the option of being able to pay it off over two or three months.

would like to be on gas, but no gas connection in the house. It would probably cost a fortune to change over everything?
