do you still get a month free when you create a gamertag, my friend just joined up and we were trying to get the month trial free but cant find it?

It goes by per console. You can set up to 3 New accounts on one console that will get 1 month free. After that no. You could buy a second hand console that has all its free account months used up and never know. You don't need to look for it once you set up a Silver account or Gold it's applied automatically. A guest account wont get it either way.
