50th Birthday Party

I am arranging a 50th Birthday party soon and was looking for some recipe ideas - probably 40ish people to cater for - want to cook a chicken dish with rice. Was thinking of a Moroccan Chicken Tagine as cous cous is such a easy quick cook dish. Any ideas for a saucy chicken dish and how to cook rice for 30+ people.
