Google without YouTube

Anyone know if there is a way around being automatically logged into YouTube if logged into Google mail?

And also, when I go here to opt out of targeted Google advertising and click on the opt out link I get the errior: DoubleClick DART cookie opt-out error. Google say it's because I have accepting third party cookies disabled but I don't, it's enabled.

You only get the option to opt out of targeted advertising on Youtube when you're signed in, other than that I don't think you can't avoid it

Just get an adblocker for your browser, I honestly can't live without it.

OT btw, there's no good adblock for Internet Explorer so don't use it, 66% of all spyware comes through IE. Because IE is bedded into the operating system it's a huge target. Best avoid using it unless you have to for a specific site.

Cheers. I'm logged in OK, still getting the opt-out error. Funny that.

Any ideas about being logged into Gmail but not Youtube?

I just tried the opt-out process in Firefox and I don't think I had a problem.

IE9 has an built-in adblocker, user can use Easylist or Fanboys.
It's obviously not as customizable as FFox or even chrome but it is there.

I strongly suspect that this is a deliberate action by Google to prevent users from opting out.
