Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Legion is fascinating, French but not French. After WW2 it was a escape for members of the Waffen SS which has a certain irony.

It is misunderstood, but for member it's all about the Legion, not France. The Legion is all.

My impression from the article is that the members or former members held back from the journalist, fearing perhaps that they wouldn't understand. All they did was to add to myth.

It's notable that the Leginaires mentioned minimised the toughness of the regime, they would have course, having survived it. Those who failed would be barely beneath their contempt.

Watched this recently (bargain bin in Xtravision:)) Interesting. Glad I read back of box though or else I'm not sure I'd have figured out WTF was going on!
Best enjoyed with bottle of wine, which I think is de rigueur for French films.
