Auto Gate Opener

I'm hopping to make a small gate i have into a automatic/remote control opening gate, It's a single timber frame with wire mesh, light weight 9ft. gate. Does anyone know the easiest and a cost effective way of doing this. Basically i have a disability and it's very hard for me to be getting in and out of the car every time…

Does anyone know the easiest and a cost effective way of doing this.
Basically i have a disability and it's very hard for me to be getting in and out
of the car every time in need to go out.
And the gate needs to be closed because we have a small dog that i don't want out on the road.

I've seen the kits you can buy from Gate Motors,
that are advertised on the Adverts.ie site and probably will get one.
But before i do i wanted to ask if anyone has any useful ideas.
I have electric at the post ready so it should be an easy enough job once i have something bought.
