Apologies to mods if this is in wrong thread, I was wondering if anyone knows the popular poem that it taught to young children about the body parts in irish? I am newly working in a creche and all the children and staff seem to know this poem but me.

    Many Thanks

Why not just ask the other staff? Or the kids ... you could turn it into a game by getting the kids to teach you the poem.

Lámh, lámh eile, a haon, a dó,
Cos, cos eile, a haon, a dó,

you repeat this for all the body parts that you have two of,

    cluas, súil, glúin,

    and then finish with

ceann, srón, béal, smig, agus fiacla bána i mo bhéal istigh.

I haven't thought of that in 20 years but I broke into it a few weeks ago while dressing my little one, only I couldn't remember how it started.

The youtube clip is hilarious, I'll have great fun frightening the American relatives.

    Thanks.

This is my favourite youtube version of it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycVVKBLC1sQ&feature=related

My 2 year old keeps singing it to her baby sister trying to teach her:)
