    COMMUNITY GARDEN WORKSHOPS

    The West Clare Resource Centre, Ballard Road, Miltown Malbay is hosting a series of one day workshops on the theme of creating a community garden. Workshops will run for 5 hours on:

    Saturdays 10.30am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.30pm

    08/10/11 Small woodland management - how to design a woodland area and select tree species to suit. Tutor Bob Wilson (CELT)

    15/10/11 Plant propagation - grow your own shrubs and hedging. This will take place in the polytunnel to the rear of the library. Tutor Brid Hedderman

    05/11/11 Garden design & planning - bring a plan of your garden and a pencil! Tutor Martina O'Brien

    19/11/11 Introduction to working with willow - living & dried. Tutor Peter Sheahan

    26/11/11 Basket making. Tutor Peter Sheahan

    03/12/11 Creating a mosaic for the garden. Tutor Marie Connole.

    The workshops are free and all are welcome. As places are limited, it is advisable to book. Please bring lunch, tea available.
