Whats the best way to clean up old roof tiles on a house.

Alot of the tiles on the house in question are covered in moss and dirt.

Whats the best way to clean up the roof, without damaging the tiles or roof below them??

    Thanks.:)

. Fungicide not to diluted left to dry for 2 days then a good power hose

Will power hosing not damage the tiles and cause water to get in under them though???

Its an old 2 storey house with a high pitched roof btw.

Not if you work from the top down and don't go to close to them. The fungicide will have the moss weak and it will just walk of. That's the plan anyway. Ha.

Removing moss using high pressure will only damage pointing and may result in additional problems. In my opinion, first a roof ladder for safety, wire brush and trowel for moss. Be sure to remove moss from channels in tiles, give the gutters a clean. Sorted!
