Starter Glasses - Road Bike

Hi Guys,

Started cycling my new road bike a few weeks back then had eye surgery so had to stop for a bit. Prior to the surgery I did not wear any glasses however now since the surgery and with the windy/rainy weather I am more paranoid about my eye and need to pick a pair of "good enough" starter glasses to get me going.

Recommendations welcome.

Wiggle used to do some good cheap ones with interchangeable lenses but I can't find them now.

I would get some cheapo safety glasses.

i would check the fit on a few in the lbs, i was in the same boat over the summer and found for the wind you really need something that sits tight and covers around the eyes

Not strictly cycling glasses but these are pretty good. I've got two pairs which I use when I'm out on the bike and quite like the fit on my head. They provide pretty good protection from the wind.

+1 on these. Got mine on eBay from a seller called wiwuk - the yellow and the smoked ones. I have been meaning to get clear ones for weeks. (I'm actually not keen on the yellow in low light, which is what they're meant for, but they're perfect for winter sun. That might be just me, though. I found exactly the same with borrowed yellows.)

I bought similar BBB ones from Joe Daly Cycles in Dundrum. As reluctant as I am to admit, they are actually very good and I've ended up wearing them more than my Oakleys.
