    its called a rigid loop lamp, or rigid loop festoon lamp. id need to know the voltage and wattage to see if they can be got over here. some of the old wholesalers might have em on the shelves.

    our supplier has them in 12volt 5 watt frosted and 24 volt 5 watt clear. there are a few other variations but these seem to be the most popular.

    Many thanks, will try and establish the voltage. Is there a code for them along the lines of GU9, R50 etc

    no i dont know of a code, but those type of bulbs are usually described by there dimensions, think that on is along the lines of 10x40
