Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its never too early. But it may be too late. If you buy now you will have to overwinter them with the cost of feed and slurry storage and probably higher vet bills as well from pneumonia as well. But thats not to say it isnt a good idea with the right animals

have been to our local mart every week for the last 2 months, angus and hereford are very scarce , also prices are mad.Maybe in the spring when they are more plentiful the price will go down

think the prices are so high because there is a lot of boys over quota and buying or holding onto calves to drink the milk

In fairness it's swings and roundabouts..
We had a few great years of buying cheap calves ex farm.. ;)
The whole thing is timing.. If prices remain up, paying extra shouldn't affect our margins because weanlin prices are up.. risk would be buying dear and prices falling, but that's the risk with buying stock for resale...
Sucks we bought last spring sold recently and made nice profit...
