Let's hope there are some decent people living in the Athea district who will not forget who inflicted the horrific injuries on the elderly man.Or do some there want their community to descend to the level of social mayhem that is experienced in Limerick City and elsewhere in this sorry state? The silence of the parents empowers the perpetrators and is a dereliction of parental responsibility within their Community, assuming that respectable title still applies to the area, as the Humanity/Christianity of the Victim's response and the work of the investigating Garda would suggest.

Aren't the judges used to seeing the same faces over and over and know too well the faces and surnames they are dealing with and are only copping out with the 'unknown' previous convictions soundbite

Ill vote for whoever brings in the 3 strikes out rule, and promote a private prison setup like the USA,
Wasn't their some report where it would be cheaper fly the jailbirds to america to complete their sentenances where the early release is earned by doing harder time

Our system is about protecting criminal's rights whereas the American system punishing criminals.

I guess we are more progressive than the Americans.
