    There's your chef there!

Phew, got out of that one.

I also think somewhere mingly would be good. Best way for that to happen is pick somewhere without chairs! I'm tryin to think of a chairless venue..

A field. I know of one in Wicklow :pac:

Is there such a thing as a chairless venue in Dublin that is not a club? I think the key ingredient to being mingly is somewhere large but without loud music. We need to be able to hear each other! Before we slip off into the dark night and start dancing of course.

Totalitarian democracy: allow the people think they helped picked the date, but choose one that suits you. Usually works :P

Nothing like a cold drink, a bit of the ole chit chat, and a nice relaxing seat to...

Hold on I say, HOLD ON! This is not something one should do when relaxing :P

I picked the 12th, as it's the weekend after payday, and thus should have money to drink then.

She definitely ups the awesome ante all right though it does come with some side effects, namely hugs, forced stiffy sampling and young ones being destroyed by Donegal Kings rules.

I like the idea of MacTuracaills (sp).

Its quite spacious and any Saturday night Ive been in it its never been overly busy.

I do however get what Lari was saying about trying to find a place without seating for ease of mingling.Like Lafayette was good in that respect however it was a bloody nightmare trying to get a pint.

If MacTurcaills give us that round alcove bit it would encourage mingling as people won't get trapped into corners and feel rude moving about. It's also nice and central for all, even close enough to the hostels that most of our country brethren stay in.

And Doyles is in staggering distance too.

I went to a boards beers in there one time and we had this alcove thingy to ourselves mostly.
