Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to where I can buy some magnetic mathematical instruments (protractor, ruler, compass etc) for demonstration use on the school white board?

I was quite surprised to start at a school recently and discover they didn't have any.

    http://www.plasfab.net/product/Helix_Whiteboard_Geometry_Set_HX63040

The company is Irish and based in Dublin - can't vouch for them as I haven't dealt with them but a quick Google search gave the link ;) Try your local book/stationery shop, expecially if they stock school books and supplies.

NB - Just discovered that they're wholesalers and deal with the trade only!

I don't know if you have access to a data projector and computer in your room but if you do an alternative to using these instruments on the board is getting a visualiser which is basically an instrument that looks like a lamp but has a camera at then end. It allows you to use normal mathematical instruments on your desk and it projects it onto the board. Also allows you to record what you are doing which allows you to play in a loop.
