Dun Laoghaire Parking

My mate was saying he gets free parking near some housing estate , does any one know where i could park for a coupler of hours for free, i dont mind walking, would like the excercise

There is very little free parking anywhere in Dún Laoghaire, most estates are Pay and display.

Also glenageary woods has no pay and display and has fairly easy access to DL.

Dun Laoghaire shopping centre charges €2 for the first three hours aswell if that helps (but go over the 3 hours and it jumps to €10!!)

The old Dunnes Stores car park is pretty much free these days. It's located behind where their clothing store still is today.

Yeah iv learned the hard way with that shopping center car park ..just as a matter of interest does anyone know can you be clamped or anything where there's no yellow lines and no signs, except for a residents only sign? ( doesn't look very official )
