Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys.
Just wondering how iMessage works?. As its integrated with the text application, how does it decide to either send an SMS or iMessage.

I assume it gives preference to iMessage if its available?

The sender and the recipient of the message must have an iPhone running iOS 5. Once it detects it then the message is sent as an iMessage. Otherwise it's sent as a normal SMS. If you'd prefer just SMS it can be disabled in the Settings.

Ah right. Considering nearly all my friends are on iPhones, iMessage is gonna be a money saver on texts!.

Let's hope it doesnt eat up too much data though when there's no Wifi available it'll be just working off the data plan.

About how long does it take for iMessage to "Verify"? Having very patchy use since I set up my 4S at the weekend. Sometimes it works, sometimes it sends as a normal text.

Did you have a look at the sticky on top of the forum, I'm pretty sure it's mentioned there.

But yeah, mine is patchy too.
