    Why, after killing his brother ( and the beast was dead) deid he fear another attack...?

    The bit about not turning to look at him is significant imo.

    Also the last scene...is the body turning around?... or is he getting closer and just checking who the body is?

    Lilacs in the zodiac = Gemini=Twins...?

    Pan in mythology is a wood god...who chased Syringa who turned herself into a lilac bush to escape...?

    Well, the story is vague enough that people want to decipher it and interesting enough that 3 pages of explanations have been posted here.

    Well done artist / story teller.

    I enjoyed it and I haven't a clue whats going on.
