    LITE
For fans of : The Redneck Manifesto/Battles/ Don Caballero

Tokyo math-rockers Lite return to Dublin on October 22nd for what promises to be a blistering double headliner with the UK’s Maybeshewill. Technically astonishing and played with infectious joy, Lite’s music is complex but underpinned by a keen sense of melody and a raucous & energetic sense of fun

Lite were formed as a four-piece in Tokyo in 2003. After a series of demos, they released a self-titled mini album in 2005. Having toured Japan for the first time they went to the studio to release their first full-length album, "Filmlets", in 2006. Capitalising on the critical success of Filmlets the band went on a tour around UK and Ireland and quickly won a reputation for being one of the most combustible live acts around. Around this time they also contributed the track Everything In Its Right Place for a Japanese Radiohead tribute album.

Two further studio albums and countless shows later Lite return to Dublin as one of the most exciting live bands currently on the circuit and are poised to blow the roof off Whelan’s.

    MAYBESHEWILL
For fans of Mogwai/65 Days Of Static

“Maybeshewill sound like Mogwai would if the latter had ever found love in an arthouse cinema. And then were beaten around the head with a keyboard.”Drowned In Sound

Fusing the instrumental complexity of post-rock with electronics, Leicestershire’s Maybeshewill make compelling sounds that avoid the slow-burning clichés of the genre by unleashing a ferocious wall of shape-shifting fury that both captivates and discombobulates but will always have the listener returning for more.

Formed in 2005 the band have maintained a steadfastly DIY approach having recorded all of their own material to date and have slowly built of a loyal army of devotees in the UK that has seen them become rightly regarded in the shadowy world of those-in –the-know as one of the finer bands currently shattering ear drums on the UK circuit. Their live sound is dense, harmonic and utterly captivating making this double bill with Lite one hell of a live prospect and definitely not to be missed if you like your rock posty and your maths musical.
