I got charged 4.99 for six gala apples in a bag yesterday!!! WTF. I didnt see it until I got home. Do I have any recourse on this?

if they were organic and in a tray or something, but I thought that they were like €2 or something.

I got caught out in a similar manner. Last time I'm going near the fruit and veg aisle with the kids.

It is the Pink Lady apples that are a fiver. Mad money.

I buy the Gala bags every week and they are no more than 2 euro.

    nearly as nice.

My mum was in Tesco on Friday and one of the staff pointed out a particular ice-cream was reduced to something like 80c or thereabouts. My mum picked up 3 so. When she got home she looked at her receipts and realised she was charged like €3.95 for each of them, nearly €12 for ice-cream! She went back in on Saturday with the receipt to check it and Tesco said there's nothing they could do and they can't accept them returned cos it's frozen food (health & safety of course).

Any come back for her at all?

if you're not looking at your receipt in Tesco then you're asking to be caught out - their pricing strategy is entirely based on confusion and constantly moving goalposts. Offers are frequently not what they appear, and even when they are, they often aren't set up correctly on the tills. I always check, it's saved me quite a few return trips.

Does anyone know if the 25% off wine offer is over? I know they extended it by a week. None of the staff in my local tesco seemed to know. Someone said it finished on Saturday but the signs were still there yesterday.

In any case, am I right in saying that the sherry and port are not included in the wine sale this time round? They were last year
