I saw a Fujitsu laptop for €299 advertised in the paper on Christmas Eve, went into the Tallaght store on Stephen's Day first thing but couldn't see any. Found a manager and he fetched one out of the stores for me.

    Was €8 ish, now €1.oo

must be this exact pack, the olympics pack with the running guy on the front

I dont know the barcode as I didn't need any, plenty in Waterford stores on the normal battery displays with yellow special purchase SELand the higher price.

Same pack was €2.50 in Argos a few weeks ago.

Edit : Tesco poleberry has them on directly to the left of batteries marked one euro. On a shelf marked 8 something. Me thinks someone was trying to hide them for themselves.

None in Ballybeg, but bought 5 packs in Poleberry. (Scanned at €5.89 each, got duty manager to fix that error :) )
Also bought the steam iron for €14 yesterday and scanned for €10, so bought another one as well.
All the €80 19" TV's are gone in Poleberry

There seems to be a huge clearance on tv's throughout all stores.
Sony Bravia 42" full hd 150 euro
    Samsung 51"smart tv 300
    32" lg 150
and lots more. Prices don't seem to be advertised and it seems that staff are trying to keep it quite. most stock is being kept in the store rooms. also tv stands 32" for 6euro. stock in all of the waterford stores is clearing fast but most others don't seem to have caught on.

I got the Sony bravia 42" inch for €150 shocking really, it's led full hd 1080p its amazing :D.
I also seen some staff member get a 3d smart tv for €270 with discount and €300 without. unreal bargains I also got the Buffalo 2tb hdd for €30 and the 1tb Hitachi portable hdd for €35 :D:D.

Got a Samsung bde5500 in swinford tesco for 30 good few left woman In front of me got Sony 3d surround system for 45 quid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 83 ✭✭little man disorder

Tesco Tramore in Waterford had 32" inch Sony bravia down from 350-400 to 150 as well and I am sure there would be 32" telly's left in some stores as these were not sought after as much the 42" naturally. You could go in and ask in store for the price list of all the telly's because there was a big selection of telly's in that store at least 25 or so, you never know you could still pick up a bargain.

Yes I also got this. It's a very nice device for the money, I updated it last night and got all the Samsung apps like YouTube, rte player, 3 player and that it also works with ext hdd & the cloud as well which is nice or you can play through the network from a PC :).

I got the ext hdd in Tesco ballybeg and the TV from Tramore, the selection in Tesco Tramore in Waterford is unreal at least 25 TVs to the average 6/7 in most other Tesco's in the city

looks like all the stores are keeping the tvs out back, so make sure to ask them. in the store I bought one in yesterday the staff only spotted the price decrease when people were specifically asking for them so you might be lucky and thy may not have realised yet. if you are near a tesco extra store, they seem to stock more tvs.

So I'm just back and basically the customer service assistant said they never stock tvs over 32 inch and said no tvs were reduced. She then called over a manager and his story was that they had them and they sold out. In general there was not even a reduced section anywhere in the store except for a small bit for children's clothing, which was there on 23rd dec when I was in there food shopping. I got the impression the manager was lying as I asked him if he could check out the back and he refused saying "there was no need"
Oh well tesco seem to be looking after there own.

Its the 29th. Any they had are probably long gone. I wouldn't necessarily read anything into it. There are a lot of conspiracy theories doing the rounds here........

Did you know they were €100?

Seen some in Tesco in Waterford last night all marked €349, so are the staff taking the pee?

They rang me and I told them to get them scanned. Staff didn't even know. They just rang to say they got the display model for 125. Thank you bargain alerts!!

Was in Coonagh & Authurs Quay, Limerick this morning for Buffalo 2tb hdd for €30, no joy! Never checked for TV's, ooh I do want the TV for my sons Wii! But not going back in to be dispappointed by Tesco, not having them. I would be grateful if anybody would let us know if you have picked up this TV deal in Limerick!

No reduced tvs in mahon. Was told that staff got a lot of them. Wasn't very hopeful anyway as I'd say anyone who gets one at this stage would be very lucky. Did get a 20 euro epson printer though. Was marked at 99 on the shelf.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 885 ✭✭✭kendragon

Popped into tesco Roxboro, Limerick. Small selection of items. Mostly those philips and oral b electric toothbrushes. I picked up a 16gb sandisk usb drive for 10.50. There are about 4 left. There was some printers for €20. An epson Small-in-one and another one that I can't remember. A canon or brother maybe. Nothing great that I could see.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,655 ✭✭✭Royal Legend

So either staff know and are keeping them for themselves or they don't know and we need to ask someone to scan

Just in tesco extra Clearwater. Saw staff dragging LG box out back. No Sony 42" on display, but there are LG. Took the little card from beside display and scanned at price check, 32" is €349 as on display, the 42" (LS3400) scanned as €200! Asked for one, but told out of stock, said only special left is a display samsung €350 46".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 83 ✭✭little man disorder

None of the TV's were marked down or had the yellow special price you had to ask for the TV to be scanned as they were scanning in at €150 for the Sony 42" but still had the full price of 499.00 stuck to them.

The same for the buffalo 2tb it was not marked up with the €30 price tag but rather €119/€129 but when scanned it was €30

Sony Bravia bar code is : 4905524783261/08

I just checked clarehall, the TVs are coming up at €150, I checked for the buffalo 2tb linkstation hd, but it scanned at €189 or something like that.

They have no 32 or 42 inch TVs left in stock and all were between €120 and €150. I have the tickets for each of the TVs if anyone wants me to upload pics so they have the barcode
