Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Actually the staff on the customer service desk were busily stacking them behind the customer service counter!

Are many of you finding the Chokablok ice-cream for €1? Signs are up in my local store but all I've seen is the chocolate one just one day. I just don't like chocolate ice-cream but I'd like to try the Chokablok Billionaires Shortcake.

I saw the 42L basket shown earlier on this thread for €3.50 - they had them in black, silver and blue. Is it only the green one that scans at €1? Shelf tag calls these Flexitubs.

I got the Chokabloc in Clondalkin and Tallaght & the bbq sauce for the €1!!!

For anyone who uses it the sure cotton ultra dry anti-perspirant (150mls) is only 75cents with a white price label it was too noticable at first as a bargain (others were yellow labelled half price at €1.30 or more),

i saw it in Tesco douglas it was on the top shelf inbetween the dove anti perspirant and i bought two there was more left...

also the buttons easter egg that is normally €3 was half price at €1.50, which is a bargain since i saw the smaller buttons easter eggs were two for €3.

just got the 2 packs for €14.99

Also didn't work on the 5+ in roxboro, just 2 for 14.99

Did get call of duty ghosts for 9.99 though for ps3!
It's displayed at 34.99, scanning at 59.99, got double the difference of 25 back. Should be same for xbox

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,096 ✭✭✭✭the groutch

They're somewhat elusive, but if your local store does have them the 12 packs of Creme Eggs are half price at €3.75

    Double the difference would be €50 (59.99-34.99 = 25 x 2)?
So they should have given you the game and €15.01.

    you've got that wrong.

    He paid €59.99
    He should have paid €34.99
difference is €25 double the diff is €50

refund is €50 (double the difference)
€59.99- €50 = €9.99 actual cost of the product (after DTD)
    Customer service was correct

Is it not double the difference= €50

    Then €59.99 - €50 = €9.99, like the op said?

The Pampers seems to have been a pricing mistake, see attached pic of receipt, seems like two discounts being calculated instead of one

Finish dishwasher tablets All in one 56 pack for 4.74 euro in Tesco.

Saw it on hotukdeals in UK they are 2 pounds as boxed finish is discontinued and reduced everywhere (so it should be nationwide).

Thanks for this - got a pack for 4.74 in Clonmel today :D

Btw it was mentioned over on HUKD that the 2L bottles of coke are being discontinued, and being replaced by a 1.75L bottle (most likely at same price).
And apparently the big retailers are starting to discount them from tomorrow, so that might filter through to the Irish Tesco stores too.

Apparently only getting rid of the 2 litre in convenience stores in UK e.g. Spar. Supermarkets to keep the 2l bottle

Seen somebody walking out with about 10 - 15 of those Therma Care heat wrap patches in Douglas cork, expected to log in here and see a reduction.

Anyone have any info on them? They're generally quite expensive.

Tesco seem to be delisting a huge range of products.
The staff had a fairly big folder of delisted ( de-ranged) products which will probably be reduced over the next few days ( seems to be across all departments ( from a quick peek!))

In Arklow this morning I picked up the following:
Sure Men Antiperspirant Dry motion sense system 48 hr 250 mL €1.14
Lynx Shampoo Attract(!) 300 mL 80 cent
Lynx Hair gel extra Strong hold " hot night proof" !! €1.49

There were other brands on the shelf Dove Nivea . all reduced

There were some smaller Sure anti perspirants that wouldn't scan when I went to checkout Sure Quantum

I got 4 billionaire shortbread ice cream for €1 each in Wexford yesterday. They were behind a shelf sticker saying €4.99 with 2 other flavours. One scanned at €4.99, another flavour scanned at €2.49 and the BS (:D) scanned at €1.

The bottom of the freezer cabinet had two shelf stickers partially covered. They related to this product and said something about a special offer. Could the staff be hiding the bargains in plain view? Ice cream is hard to hide anywhere else than the freezer.

Seriously nice ice cream by the way.

Products will be sent back to Donabate for redistribution to other stores.

Feel sorry for the staff, Tesco say they will redeploy them within the company, but that will be on there terms and if you don't agree well your out the door.
