Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not in Maynooth they're not- I scanned a few at the self scanner to check (as they were randomly tossed on the shelves and I couldn't find their SELs). All in the 30-40 Euro range- aka full price. Might be different in other branches- but I suspect not.

The smaller packets definitely are included, the ones that are usually around €16ish when full price.

Same here. I did the same last year too, and saved a fortune on Christmas and birthdays during the year. I think every party the kids were invited to last year cost me under a fiver for really decent Creator and City sets. LEGO for everyone again this year!

Well, I used one when buying a mobile phone in tesco the other day so I don't see why not.

Its specifically on the list of items ineligible for purchase with vouchers- however, it appears that a significant number of cashiers either don't know or don't care........

But it doesnt actually state that on the aldi coupon so you have a case to plead if they refuse

The list of exclusions printed on the back of Tesco spend & save coupons is:

Coffee shop & restaurant purchases, tobacco, lottery tickets, savings stamps, postage stamps, fuel, medicines, infant milk formulae and gift cards.

Mobile phone credit isn't on that list and indeed these Tesco spend & save coupons scan fine when purchasing phone credit - I've used them for this purpose many's a time.

Presumably Tesco apply the exact same list of exclusions when accepting competitors' spend and save vouchers. Again, I've used Aldi/Lidl/Supervalu/Dunnes vouchers for purchasing phone credit several times now and never once had an issue.

There are leaflets at the customer service desk which describe the competitor voucher scheme- and what is allowed and not allowed. Its nothing to do with whats on the Aldi/Lidl/Musgraves/Dunnes vouchers. One of the Managers told me that they only look at the qualifying spend on the voucher- they then apply their own restrictions on use- independent of anything written on the voucher.

Is topup vouchers in the list that you have mentioned above?

I would also like to mention that the Tesco clubcard vouchers doesn't have any restrictions on topup vouchers (as per conditions printed on them; one member has clearly posted the limitations of Tesco clubcard vouchers in previous post). Considering these conditions on Tesco clubcard vouchers, I thought I could assume the same would be applicable for Aldi vouchers in Tesco though Aldi vouchers have no restrictions mentioned on their vouchers (also to keep in mind is that Aldi doesn't have gift card or topup facility in their shops).

I'm confused - I thought there was a separate thread about Tesco accepting other vouchers and this was for bargain alerts in Tescos only?

ditto. every couple of pages someone makes a "take the hint" post but people still insist on extreme couponing, price and shop comparisons and irrelevant posts.

I've pm'd mods about it but in fairness, there's so many posts on this thread it can't be easy to moderate.

(and i realise this post in itself is irrelevant to the thread)

edit : so - some of the Belkin charge cables and car chargers are coming up with "please contact a member of staff" message when scanned. I've been offered 50% off by managers when they try to get a price - 29.99 down to 14.99 ~(they compared against other fully priced versions) - but I'm holding out until they're less than that like some previous posters got.

tried Douglas and wilton with no luck, couldn't find them at all, they only had the big ones with the purple ribbons (scanning €14.99) and the small ones with the red ribbons (scanning at €8), i asked a woman stacking the chocolate shelves in Douglas and she said they never had white boxed red ribboned lily O'Brien chocolates... :(

Douglas did have the Barbie's though, (the co star dolls for €11.99) not the main one.
