Couldn't see it in the thread so hopefully i'm not repeating someone. In Tesco Santry yesterday down the back near cereal section, loads of these. Bought 5, pretty decent light out off em so seem like a bargain to me. Quick check on the net and finding them for 6 to 8 dollars.
Hi do you have a price for these, and perhaps the barcode? Thanks...

Its not a secret its Tescos own brand Anti Dandruff Sensitive shampoo I had a look today The bottles where back to full price 89c in my Tesco :( you might still have luck in another

I do have to laugh at certain people on here moaning about Tesco overcharging on this that and the other....on what is a bargain alert thread. Surely Consumer issues is the place to take these complaints. Yet they are Strangely quiet when Tesco offer a genuine bargain , which is quite frequent in my opinion, compared to their rivals.

They're €1, put it in the title but it's not very noticeable looking at it now.
Barcode on it is 8710163392790. That what your after?

The Technika 7inch portable DVD player is still scanning at 35, shelf price 69. A cheaper and probably inferior alternative to Aldis current special. I'd go for the Aldi one, but if none left this might do.

This is also the same in Bloomfields Dun laoghaire.
The Anti-Dandruff shampoo is also labelled as 24c now but scans in at 89c. Needless to say I demanded the 24c deal and picked up 8 bottles!

Couldn't you have asked firmly but politely? :pac:

It's not a bathrobe which I think is a dressing gown. That photo is more like something I imagine Abbott and Costello or Laurel and Hardy would wear in the 1920's or Mr Scrooge in the 1800's.

i bought 2 of the dressing gowns in tesco carlow, however there were 10 on the shelf and only 2 scanned at 1 euro

  • Registered Users Posts: 209 ✭✭mrswalton

So, is there a big clothing reduction in Tescos today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,396 ✭✭✭lindtee

Had a quick look in Mahon on the way home and there were no Men's €1.25 dressing gowns...not surprised, before christmas they had a couple of racks full of women's ones and people were grabbing 6/7 of them at a time, they were gone within a couple of minutes of being put out. There were good reductions alright but not as good as the €1.25 sale before Christmas. People were buying loads of kids clothes which mostly seemed to be under €5.

irishbloke was referring to the Aldi one which has usb, but I dont think the Tescos one has.
There are 2 possibly identical versions of the Tescos DVD player. Only the one with a picture of a man on the box scans at 35. The one with the picture of a boy on the box scans at 69

Clare Hall store - not much left in women and kids fashion departments. Unless you are a size 6 or 20 or like unusual colours. The business (smart office) range still has plenty of choice if you need black trousers, dresses, etc... for the office.
I find it annoying when the signs read "EVERYTHING HALF PRICE OR LESS.... selected lines only ". Although admittingly the reduced lines are much less than half price

Huge reductions on toys too. Playmobil minis 94 cents. Thomas playset 12€. Action Man figures 3€

Tesco have gone "Oirish" for St Paddy's. A lot of Irish brands reduced.

Mind you, I find that prices have gone up quite steeply in the last few days. I used to buy the Tesco Organic smoked salmon at 3.07€ as a treat. It's now 5.29€ (Dunns Organic is 3.95€ for 130g, Tesco is not really pushing their own brand). Bonne Maman conserves were around 2.99€, they now are 3.35€....

Thanks. I only buy them on special offers anyway. Aldi's are similar in taste and made in Ireland and only 1.69€. Less variety, though.
It was just an example of how prices have gone up. Like petrol, they seem to raise every couple of days
